ABOUT PROLITERACY -
In all 50 states and the District of Columbia, ProLiteracy's network of organizational and individual members offer adults instruction in basic literacy, GED preparation, math, and English as a second language. ProLiteracy helps its members offer adult learners the highest quality education through its programs and professional services.

ProLiteracy.

ProLiteracy offers the only national accreditation service in the adult basic education and literacy field. The accreditation process requires local organizations to plan and evaluate their services using nationally recognized standards. The system is designed for programs in which volunteers provide most of the tutoring.

Once a program is accredited, students, volunteers, board members, and funders can feel confident that the organization is worthy of the time and money they invest in it.

LVA-CA Executive Director, Sheila McLaughlin added, "Congratulations to us.  Much thanks to participants in the site review board members Clark Doran and Roseanne Kobialka, volunteers Diane Mozzo and Kathy Palmentieri and staff Pat Epps, Anne Osman and Anna Weisberg.  And a very special thanks to Quenby Kotila who took on the onerous task of assembling the extensive accreditation documentation and to Roseann and her assistant Nicole who scanned it all and saved it to disk enabling us to submit it in that form to the Accreditation Committee."
